Tasmania TAS

Ever wanted to breathe the world’s cleanest air, taste its most pure water or wander through pristine World Heritage-listed wilderness.

Tasmania is all of these plus friendly towns, internationally renowned food, beautiful rivers and parks and perfectly preserved historic buildings. The capital is Hobart and the island is about the size of Switzerland. The climate is temperate with four distinct seasons. Warm and Sunny summers, crisp, cool and dry winters with snow on mountain tops. Tasmania combines a relaxed lifestyle with unique attractions. It is an island of contrasts. Hobart is at the foot of Mt Wellington and is surrounded by thickly forested, green, rolling hills. It is rich in character with colonial Georgian and Regency buildings as part of everyday life. Launceston is the second city with a combination of natural and man made attractions. Tasmania’s colonial past can be seen in the Midland towns of Ross and Oatlands. The Central Highlands is a region of craggy mountains and a mecca for trout fishermen from all over the world. Tasmania’s “Wild West” is the rugged, isolated, storm swept coastline. Starting in Strachan it combines Dramatic coastal scenery, beaches, and rolling farmlands, leading inland to the unique alpine beauty of Cradle Mountain- Lake St Clair National Park.
